Fresh new look for THF Buggy Drivers
Townsville Hospital Foundation Buggy Drivers have a fresh new look for summer thanks to a generous donation from Totally Work Wear.
New shirts have been donated to the Townsville Hospital Foundation to ensure that their 10 courtesy buggy drivers are kept safe from the North Queensland sun over the coming months. The long sleeve high visibility polo shirts have a 50+ UPF rating to keep out the harmful rays during those hot summer days and the THF logo embroidered on the front to clearly show who the Buggy Driver is representing.
Marketing & Volunteer Coordinator, Megan King, was thrilled with the generous response from Todd Buglar at Totally Work Wear when enquiring early this month.
"Todd and the Totally Work Wear team went above and beyond to ensure our Buggy Drivers got the best shirts for the NQ climate and every driver has commented on how great they look with our logo on the front. We are extremely lucky here at the Foundation with the amazing support we receive from the local community and businesses."
Buggy Drivers Michael Harrington and Maureen Gilbert, pictured above, personally thanked Todd for his donation when he hand delivered the shirts to The Townsville Hospital last week. Maureen was especially appreciative as Totally Work Wear were able to order in a Women's shirt to replace her current over sized polo.
"It's humbling to know that local businesses value the work that we do and can help to provide us with a new shirt that keeps us safe from the sun."
The Townsville Hospital Foundation runs a courtesy buggy service at The Townsville Hospital from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday to help patients with mobility issues around the large campus. To find out more about the Buggy's and the other volunteer services please contact the Foundation on 4433 1337.
