To qualify you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Undergo the Working with Children check (Blue Card)
• Complete required training (if applicable)
• Commit your time on a regular ongoing roster
• Satisfy the following Conditions of Becoming a Volunteer

Conditions of Becoming a volunteer

• Ability to interact in a team
• Ability to use initiative, take direction and work with limited supervision
• Ability to take pride in tasks set, and employ attention to detail
• Ability to interact positively with children, staff and families
• A willingness to acquire a valid working with children Blue Suitability Card
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to adhere to policies and procedures
• Ability to understand and respect confidentiality
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries
• Independently follow hospital Emergency Procedures
• Independently identify potential safety risks and work within all Health and Safety guidelines
