Are you a volunteer in the making?
To qualify you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Undergo the Working with Children check
- Complete the required training
- Commit time on a regular ongoing basis
- Satisfy the following Conditions of Becoming a Volunteer
Conditions of Becoming a volunteer
- Ability to interact in a team
- Ability to use initiative, take direction and work with limited supervision
- Ability to take pride in tasks set, and employ attention to detail
- Ability to interact positively with children, staff and families
- A willingness to acquire a valid working with children Blue Suitability Card
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to adhere to policies and procedures
- Ability to understand and respect confidentiality
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries
- Independently follow hospital Emergency Procedures
- Independently identify potential safety risks and work within all Health and Safety guidelines
