The gates have now closed on our Charity Book Sale for another couple of years but ..
With the help and support of our community, our sponsors and supporters we sold some 30,000 books raised in excess of $23,000 - A great success!
First on the list of purchases will be hydration equipment for renal patients at the Townsville Hospital. Thanks to the support for Book Fair, we will ensure these patients are able to keep their fluid intake constant without the risk of cross infection.
Many other areas of our hospital will also benefit as 2009 continues and 2010 approaches, the funding from Book Fair will go towards small grants projects that require an instant financial lifeline. Keep watching for more details ..
