Toyota Cowboys

Toyota Cowboys

The program 'Cowboys Caring for Kids' is an initiative between the Toyota Cowboys and the Townsville Hospital Foundation.

Cowboys players visit the Children's Ward every six weeks to visit the sick kids and give them gifts to cheer them up.

This is of great benefit to our young patients who are enduring lengthy rehabilitation programs. For all their hard work, the reward of meeting and chatting with the players is a great boost to the kids.

McDonalds Crocs

The 3 cs For Kids Community Programme leads some very big men to visit some very small children on a regular basis.  Players of the famed Townsville Based NBL team visit the Children's ward to shoot the breeze and some hoops with the sick kids.

A dull and unpleasant day spent in hospital can be turned around thanks to these visits.

Carmichael Ford Four

We are extremely lucky to have the continued support of Carmichael Ford. In 2004, Carmichael Ford donated a Ford Transit Van, to be used for the transport of patients to and from hospital. This has been a great success, helping timely discharge of patients whose length of stay would otherwise be longer due to a lack of access to transport. This van has stretcher facilities to increase the service’s usefulness.
